W108, 280se 1971 - Blaupunkt Radio Set

Hi, my radio sound/power has become very weak. It used to be quite strong whereby the bass sound was quite impressive. Nowawadays the sound has worn out and it feels as if you're listening to a small tweater... Any idea what could be the problem??

Original stereo? Or is this a new Blaupunkt you're referring to?

If it's the original, I would try messing with the fader and the bass/treble controls. They tend to get dirty and staticky. You can usually get them working again by giving them a few good movements, or if it's really bad, trying to find that "sweet spot" where it works properly.

Thanks for the answer. It's actually the old original Blaupunkt set. I tried the treble/bass fader and it didn't work.. I have a feeling its own amp insde the radio set is worn out? what do u think?

I believe the 108 ,109 came with Becker units having a separate amp , this could be replaced for a newer amp section , the head unit remaining original.
