Connect my Blackberry to my car system so I can listen to "Pandora" internet 'radio'?

I'm guessing I would need a modern / up to date HU with the appropriate input / output jacks?

I'm an old guy - not a whippersnapper who's into all that sort of technology! :D

BTW the wagon has the original Becker HU and the 300D has a 4-5 year old Alpine unit with no jacks (on the face anyway)...

Assuming the Becker has a cassette deck, you can get an adapter that looks like a cassette but has a wire coming out of it. Put the adapter in the Becker's cassette slot and plug the wire into the headphone jack of the Blackberry. It's not a really good solution (sound quality is of the "fair to poor" variety) but it's easy, not expensive, not technical.

If the Alpine unit has a CD payer, there's no equivalent gadget. Any good auto stereo shop ought to have a technician who can wire a jack on a pigtail into the unit so that you can plug the Blackberry into it. Becker offers such a service for their stuff -- about $100. Alpine might also offer that service.

This also works with MP3 players and anything with a headphone jack. You may find that you need to adjust the volume controls up more than normal.

I actually DO have one of those Sony Discman cassette doolybopper things! I'll give it a try. Also, you say that Becker offers some sort of gadget - where might I go to pursue such an item? A local stereo shop?
