I saw a Becker model 1431, at a parts place.It had two connect amp units and a cd changer for 150.
Which year models had this unit?

No sure what a Becker 1431 is.

The Becker 1432 was used in W124 models 1990-1993 also some W129, W140 and W201 in those years.

It looks very similar to a 1432, just guessing here this on takes the 10 speaker setup or so as the back of amp had a note stating use 16 ohms speakers only . Paralleled speakers that would bring the impedence to a lower value required for the amp

It might be a BMW model. On some Becker radios the MB model and BMW model are off by 1 digit (last).

Thanks so that's the mystery,i was surprised that no one had seemed familiar with the number 1431 from their Mercedes.

I think the 1431 amp goes with the 1432 headunit. I'll have to take a peek at my car to confirm.

The 1431 is the Becker Grand Prix head unit , with it were the two connecting becker amp units.Researching into the numbers it seems the unit is from a S600 Euro model .

So they didn't have the tuner box too? Just the amps and CD changer (which would have been hooked up to the tuner)?

I think one of the boxes may have been the tuner now that you mention it , they looked similar and a Becker 6 CD changer but without the CD magazine.
