The car i recently picked up had a semi broken aftermarket cd player. It seemed to be a simple hardwire setup since only the front speakers worked and it would stay on after you would remove the key from the ignition.

Today i thought i would tackle a head unit sub from my bmw, and now it seems like Ive made things worse Not only does the radio not turn off when you remove the key, it will turn off after 5 seconds. There is one wire that I cant find a place to connect it, and thats the illumination wire.

Could this single wire be causing my issues, and if so what do i attach this wire to?
