Need a radio for my W124
 

I need to replace the radio in my W124 and I like to get something that has digital tuning but looks somewhat analog with knobs and all. Has anyone got any ideas?

Dual has the Mechless XR4110 that is pretty neat and surprisingly inexpensive on Amazon. The knob makes it look kind of retro, the USB and SD memory slots don't look too retro though. :D

I put a standard radio from an SLK or something into my C124.
Looks at home and was plug and play.
However, there are less features for more money :(

The Becker 1492/1692 look like they belong in the dash but don't add a lot of features -

Requires a bit of rewiring but most of it can be accomplished in the console area.

Nakamichi CD400 or CD700 or whatever the latest equivalent is. Used one in the old 230

for the ultimate in what you are looking for, super high end...

mcintosh head units are a super waste of money. a superior unit can be had for a third of the price.

i'd go with blaupunkt for quality/price/reliability

I'm planning on one of the Blau units. Plugs into the 124 harness, bluetooth, MP-3 etc. Some nice units here.
