I have a 91 560 SEL. I read that 91 to 03 cars are a little different. Not sure if thats true. So I am looking specifically for the wiring at head unit for a 91 as well as speaker wire colors so I can tap into the factory speakers.

Speaking of, does the rear speaker (for example) that has two tweeter on it have just one set of wires going to it? Basically is the crossover built in or at the speaker base?

There are no speaker wires going to the headunit. They all go to amplifiers behind the rear seat. Each speaker cluster has one pair going to it, they have internal crossovers. the door and dash speakers are shared too.

Ok. Thanks for the info on the shared wires, ESPECIALLY the front. I realize they are suppose to go to the back, but the prior owner let a 3 year old install a new sounds system and so much is cut up. Its bad. So I have to run ALL new wire.

While I will restore the car back to 100%, sound will be the one thing I have had to mess with

So I probably will not need a diagram, I think I have then located all the speaker wire ends. Thanks much!
