Another how to bypass W124 fader

So it's cold outside and your fader is messing up and you don't want to pull the radio out to do all that rewiring. Pop the wood trim and solder these three terminals together on each side.
Edited to add: For all you guitar players out there, guitar polish works quite well on the center console wood too.

The B and high E strings (from an acoustic light set at least) are great for cleaning wax out of window washer nozzles. Depending on your gas grill, the A or D is a good size for cleaning the burner holes--and the winding on them is a very mild abrasive.

Earl (back in the MB family after nearly 7 years!!)
