Sirius satellite radio
Does anyone know when the Satellite compatible radio will be available for the benz? I know that D-C is an investor in Sirius, one of the two satellite radio companies out there. Although I am not thrilled with the OEM head unit, I do like the steering wheel controls of the OEM units.

It is bound to happen soon. Its like what cable TV was 20 years ago. Well, except that people don't spend that much time in their cars... but whatever... the idea is the same! In high-end cars it will just become another whiz-bang accessory that makes people like me drool at the interior of the new s-class.

The newer cars equipped with the navigation systems are already "plugged in" as far as receiving satellite transmissions.
The technology is already there, so it's a matter of wrapping up contractual negotiations before you start seeing them on the next lineup. It will probably be a (expensive) option at first, and then a mainstream offering, as satellite radio is embraced by the majority of car manufacturers...
