stereo fade right/left 1984 becker grand prix

I searched but can't find. Is it possible to fade the stereo speakers all the way left or all the way right in the Becker Grand Prix radio? I have one
in my 84 300SD. The front/back speaker fade works from the dial in the
center console but apparently there is no left right control. The manual doesn't seem to indicate either way if left/right fade is possible.
Some older books on tape require this feature to listen to them, since they have two tracks recorded on the same tape. With the balance even, you hear both tracks at once.
I am guessing I already know this answer but thought I would try.

The radio and cassette work great otherwise.

Thanks for any help.

Push the Star/Asterisk button

This will "Blank Out" the Radio Station's Frequency [Numeral(s)] designation(S)
on the screen and activate the Treble/Bass controls use as Regulators for
Right/Left control.[Treble is Rightward/Bass is Leftward].
If you don't use the T/B R/L controls in a few seconds (10 ?) the screen reverts
to the Radio Station's Frequency Numbers.
(At least that's how my Becker works, yours may differ.)

Or you may call Becker in the Morning.

That's only on the later radios, I believe 1990 was the first year for balance control. The earlier radios do not have a provision for adjusting the balance.

Do you know which model you have?
This is for the 612

here is a listing for all the models:

If your model is adjustable, you push the star on the right once and then fiddle w/ the musical notes on the left, one note will adjust left, one note will adjust right, push both notes at the same time and it will balance them equally
