Antenna test for 190E.
I bought a used antenna with a five prong connection that is supposed to be in working condition for my 89 190 E. I had the car to the dealer and the service manager told me that the antenna in my car was bad so I bought this antenna as a replacement. The original radio was replaced before I bought the car so I don't know anything of the wiring. There is also a switch on the dash to raze and lower the antenna. Is there a way to test the antenna before mounting it in the car to be sure it is working properly? Thanks in advance.

Anyone??
Bump...any thoughts? Think I would get a better response in the car audio section?

This might help, but you can simply connect it up without actually mounting it too. http://www.installdr.com/TechDocs/999801.pdf

Pin 6 (brown) is the ground.
Apply 12v to all the rest of the pins and the antenna should extend to max. I think. |
