Radio removal tool for W210
 

Hi folks,

I have a Climate control unit in the dash I need to get out. All I have read is that I have to pull the radio out first to get to some screws/bolts.

I know you have to have the "radio keys" but has anyone had any luck with homemade tools for the radio removal?

I went to a local Car Stereo shop and they gave me these "disposable" flat metal keys that they use for Pioneer stereos.

It took a bit of wiggling but the keys worked and depressed the button that allows you to get out the stereo or the AC unit.
