Does anyone know which aftermarket CT changers attach to the 1998 E-Class controls? Prior to my E, I had a C-Class where I added a non-Mercedes CD changer that worked beautifully.
Also, what is the typical cost for an MB changer versus an aftermarket changer? ------------------ Michael |

*Allegedly* an Alpine changer will fit with some minor tweaking..
Dealer prices for a CD changer are about $100 more or so than buying the changer seperately +installation and convertion. Tho I'm in the UK and things are a little different here ;-) Bri ------------------ Brian Drought 1991 300CE http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drought/ ICQ: 2180069 |

Alpine makes a model that fits your car. I installed the same one in my 98 CLK. You will need a special adaptor to connect it, but that should be available at the audio store. It's really 'plug and play'. There's nothing you have to do..it's the same one MB sells..but without the logo. I paid about $500 including installation.
