hi. I have an 87 190E and was wondering if it was possible to put a new becker radio the ones with the telephone and cd changer controls in my car. I can get the upgrade from a friend for a fraction of the cost and just wanted to know if it would fit, can I use my old cd changer in the trunk to get rid of the cd changer face, and if not can I purchase equipment so I can do so?
Thanks,
Mike

What do you mean 'get rid of the CD face'?

Apart from that....is this Becker in good condition? Its not worth 'upgrading' to a dying headunit ;-)

It will fir no probs... but as to your CD changer, you need to let us know what CD changer it is.

Crutchfield can help, they've got great tech support (www.crutchfield.com).

No, I don't work for them -- they've just done right by me on my latest purchase, so I thought I owed them a "plug"

For the Cd changer it is a prestige 10 disc in the trunk. When I spoke of the face that i wanted to get rid of I meant the face to control just the CD changer. I want to control it just from the radio. And the radio is in great shape as far I can see. I was just wondering if all the wires would fit from the old radio to the new one and if I would need to get special wires to connect the prestige CD changer if I can at all.
Thanks,
Mike
