I'm installing a new CD head unit in a friend's '85 280SL (107 body). The original Becker Grand Prix had been removed by a previous owner and the original plugs cut off the car's wiring. I have figured out all of the wiring except which wire is the power antenna feed. There is one blue wire left over, so I'm assuming that's it, but it doesn't activate the antenna when I connect it to the antenna feed wire on the head unit. It is possible that the antenna motor is bad, but I want to make sure that the blue wire is, in fact, the feed wire before I start troubleshooting the antenna unit itself.

Yup, the blue wire is the antenna power wire.
Try connecting it to the 12V constant feed <red or yellow or brown or white depending...;-) >. Basically put 12V down this wire and your antena should activate. If not, you have a faulty antenna, if it does, then for some reason, your headunit is not giving out the 12V on the blue lead.
