E320 Wagon

I have the above wagon, 2000 year. It does not have the Bose system but i am wondering what the difference is between the standard and the Bose. Is it just AMP/Speakers or more than that. Would my car have 6 speakers or 4? It is really hard to tell if the front dashboard ones are working.
