My 16 valve has a 200 watt PPI 4 channel amp and an Orion CCA 50 installed with a 1/4 farad stiffening cap. My question is about the alternator. Is there higher amperage alternator on a different 190 model that puts out more than the 60 amps of the oe alternator? I would like one around 80 or 90 amps.

I think that one of the Diesel ones will work on this application. I have done this on a 300e and it worked well and looked OE. The only thing that has to be done is you have to rewire the two leads with ring connectors and connect them together on the one output post. (13mm)

Which model are you referring about and what is the alternator rating? Do you have an OE M-Benz part number?
