I have the original radio out of my old 1986 300sdl. Are the wiring plugs the same in my 1982 240d?
Thanks,
Mark

There are no plugs per-say on the W123. It is all pretty much hard-wired from what I remember. The speaker wires all go straight into the head unit, but I can’t exactly remember what the power and dimmer light are like. I should remember, I’ve done four head unit replacements on W123’s.

Yes, there are special plugs. I had tried swapping my dad's old Becker from his SDL into my 300D, plug and play swap. I dunno if your 82 240 would have the same plugs or not.
