I was wondering if I could be able to fit those DEI inverted subs in my front doors. The magent/ voice coil is in front of the cone as to greatly reduse depth. Partially behind the stock speaker grill... Any experience perhaps? I know I would have to cut away a little metal, but other than that?

May I suggest you speak to a friend of mine, John Durbin. Hes the chief audio guy at DEI, and also a past Benz fanatic.

His email is:

jdurbin1@san.rr.com

In theory I dont see any problems at all, just so long as you sound deaden the door!!
