I would like to upgrade the pitiful sound quality of the stock radio and speakers. Any suggestions(what type of receiver/CD/tuner and what type of speakers)? I don't want to pay a great deal of money but something that will sound significantly better. Thanks.

If you intend to stay with just a head unit, i.e. no amplifier, then I suggest one of the higher power JVC or Pioneer units. At the price range, they are excellent. As far as speakers go, pretty much anything that will fit will sound ok. Boston, JBL, MBQuart being slightly better than the rest (Kenwood etc)

Hope this helps!

You can get MB Quarts at a variety of places, and for reasonable prices. I wouldn't recommend shopping at crutchfield, as their prices are extremely high. Find out what size speakers you need, then check out SQ Audio. You should also look into some other companies. There's a lot of good stuff out there. I would go with Focal over MB Quart, and you can get those at SQ Audio as well. You can also scour ebay for either MB Quart or Focal.
