I would like to install monitors in the back of my headrests. I contacted a local shop and they wanted major $$$ to do it. As a matter of fact, they wanted way more than what new headrests would cost, so I could afford to do it myself (so even if I mess up one, I can replace it for less than thier install). Anyway, how should I go about doing this? I hate to just start cutting... I want a professional look, not just having the leather stop around the monitor, but actually tucked around it; I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. Anyway, where should I start?

To get the wrapped in look:
Draw around the monitor.... Draw a smaller rectangle inside this (about 1.5 inch margin is normally ok.) Cut out the inner rectangle, leaving the margin. Then cut diagonals from the corners of the little rectangle to within 5mm or so of the monitor outline. Then when you place the monitor in, it'll stretch around. Draw this out, and you should see what I mean. Bri ------------------ Brian Drought 1991 300CE 2000 A170-CDI http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drought/ ICQ: 2180069 |
