The radio on my 2000 s500 whines and the AM is good only for 1 or 2 local stations. Dealer says that radio is OK. Does someone else has the same problem?

you can hear a whinning sound that increases with the car speed. I think that the whinning of a lose wire increases with the engine RPM.

This happens when you are riding close to electricity lines.

im not sure but ive heard the new s500's have a stereo that gets louder as the speed goes up
