I occasionally burn some CD's w/ various music and play them in my factory 6-disc CD changer. On a few occasions, I've noticed that the CD plays fine for a month or so...and then after a while, it would begin to skip and have glitches. Is it the changer that is destroying my CD's...or is it the quality of the blank CD's that I use??? I usually buy the cheap ones w/ the green surfaces.

Another thing, I've been tryin' to piece together wut brand are my audio components from previous threads...but am a bit confused. Is it correct to say that:

1) my cassette/radio = Alpine
2) my 6-disc factory CD changer = Alpine
3) my speakers = Bose

I've included a picture of my cassette/radio below:

Most reliable CDR media I've found are Acer or Sony ones. I think both of these are blue rather than green. Never had a problem.

You may just find the laser in the changer needs cleaning (or aligning), as its harder for them to track a CDR than it is to track a normal CD

Hope this helps

Go with the Sony CDR media. The best I've come across for data and music tracks.
