Bad experience with autotoys.com. Ordered the Becker CD changer on 9/25 for my new CLK430. Changer is listed as in stock and ready for immediate delivery. They have sent the brackets but no changer. Sent repeated messages to them but can't get a response as to what the delay is. No comments on the order status field online and my credit card has been charged the full amount. Learned my lesson to verify that the merchandise is truly in stock before ordering.

I believe they are not supposed to charge your card until the item is ready for shipping and is actually on its way to you.

But I am not sure, though I was told this by a Visa Rep a while back.

I would call your credit card company and explain to them you never recieved the product and your card was charged for the item.

I would also look into your local better business bureau to file a complaint against the company. They might be able to assit you in getting the item you paid for.

in either case, you should either be able to get your money back, or get the product delivered.

You might also want to check to see if there are any existing complaints open against that company or if it has ever had complaints made against them by others.

Found a number to call and kept making repeated calls for days until I got through.
I would receive a voice mail that stated all reps are busy and the line would hang up. Rep did confirm that the changer is out of stock and was sorry that I did not get an update for 2 1/2 weeks. They did credit my card for the full amount but lost any future business. By the way, the bracket I received did not come with any directions and is useless ($40). I turned around and ordered the changer from Continental Imports. They were VERY informative and delivered the changer on schedule. My advice is if anyone is wanting the Becker CD changer, go with continental....better service and was a couple bucks cheaper. Oh yeah, they also understand the importance of customer service.
