My dad just bought a '92 400E. When trying to start the stereo, which I believe is a Becker Silverstone 10-disc, he says it says "code". First, how does he find out the code number if the previous owner does not know. Second, when he does find out the code, how do you re-program it in order to get it to play again? Any help is greatly appreciated. Jim.

ok well you should be able to take the vin number to the dealer and have them look up the code.
If the radio was replaced, the code may be different. When you turn it on and it says code you punch it in and it should unlock the radio.
