OK, I have a 99 c230 K sport that I have had some install done but am now taking it out and trying to decid what to do for a reinstall. My basic goal of the system is to get a competition quality system, but I want to be able to take my system back to stock if I ever need to. Before I had had two boston 12's with a ppi a600 running off rca's off the rear speakers as I wanted to keep the stock deck. Now I want to go for more of a major setup. I want to run a eclipse deck up front (it will either be the a cd or 7001 tv deck, not sure yet) and run a rather beefy bass setup in my trunk. My interior speakers sound great for some reason stock and go really loud, so I was planning to put some bass blockers on them and leave them alone for now (except if I get a aftermarket deck, do I need to replace the amp that runs them? I have been told by many that I have to since I will be using a aftermarket deck, if so should I just leave the old amp where it is to be reconnected if I ever have to take it back to stock). In the bass side, I am planning on taking out the spare tire, and building a fiberglass enclosure for 2 or 3 (not sure yet) boston pro 12.5's using a earthquake PH-D2 amp (which is really a beefy major wattage amp so I would also probably have to throw a yellow top optima battery in the back for the amp). In other words I want to do a pretty major bass setup in my trunk. The rear mat in the trunk will have to be modded but I should be able to fine another if I need it easily. Does this sound fesible at all and will I be able to get this to work and be able to return it back to stock if I need to. Also should I port it into my cabin somehow as I do not have the fold down seat option so will I need to port it, and what about dynamat as I am sure things are gonna shake! I would appreicate any feedback or ideas, people telling me not to do it, etc... This is just in the planning stages right now as I have the origanal bass setup and the eclipse deck already that I am planning to put in, but may upgrade to the bass mentioned if It sounds fessible.
thanks for any help

dynamat the whole trunk thoroughly, at least 3 layers, and put some expanding foam in the places you cant reach. Make sure your electrical system can handle the shredder (besides the 2nd battery, make sure your alternator is up to the task). Otherwise sounds like you're good to go. You sure those factory speakers are good enough? I would consider focal utopias or boston pros...
