I just picked up 99 slk230 and love it. the only problem is that it shows code on the radio. I searched in the manual and all the paperwork but couldn't find the code. I called the nearest dealer (45 miles from me). They said because the car was never at their shop I had to bring proof of ownership to them to get the code. I can understand why........ but really ? Who would want to steal a 14 year old radio ???

Is there anyone that can help me with this ? My VIN is WDBKK47F085509. Thanks , Jon

Sorry I can't be of more help other than to direct you to another member. There is a member named Cleeve of Lajollaaudiorepair.com and if you do a search under the Car Audio and Multimedia (yes this very portion of the site) with the words "Radio Code" you'll see some of his posts and he seems to always have an answer. I may be able to help you. I am no longer with La Jolla Audio just to let others know. I am now with Morrison Palmer Engineering. Please remove the radio and get the serial number off it. I should be able to get the code for you then. Thank you for using the forum.
