Warning Radio Alarm stickers .

I have finally gotten hold of the illusive NLA radio warning labels that are in the rear door triangle windows of the W124 and W126 models. It always bothered me because they were always cracking and had dog ears from someone trying to remove them. After removing them completely that just made the car look incomplete. Now the car with the new stickers applied (after cleaning the inside windows thoroughly) finally gives it a "straight out of the dealership" look. These stickers aren't OEM because that is truly impossible believe me I tried everywhere and even if one did find them they would be a few decades old by now. Part of that elusiveness is that the stickers were made by Alpine who made Becker so it was never a MB part and they were made by Alpine only for a few years during the Becker Grand Prix radio theft epidemic in the 80's. After that radio codes became standard and the stickers disappeared from the back windows as I was told by a MB part guy who has been around a while. If anyone needs them let me know. Paypal $20 for a set to mehatestaxes@gmail.com and they will be mailed out with delivery confirmation. The $20 is for trying to recuperate the Euros that were spent because the manufacturer had a minimum. Technology has improved when it comes to automotive decals that are exposed constantly to the elements. Manufacturer added that the new materials they use (decal and adhesive) will flex and shrink accordingly with temperature eliminating the dry cracking that resulted with the OEM decals over the years. All this was never really planned by me. I just wanted the sticker to be new when someone glanced over when I pulled up to a red light and also to stay true to the famous words by Bruno Sacco "A Mercedes should always look like a Mercedes".

That looks like one of the later W210 radios.

Anyway, I like the label too.

The decals on my car might be different because it's a 1991. I know the W140's never came with these decals. I had to buy their minimum quantity which happened to be equal to every W124 and w1126 in the northern hemisphere. That's every W124/W126 that is in show condition and deserves a decal

Oh, wow! I had a set of door glass from a Euro-spec 1977 W116 450SE parts car with the Blaupunkt code stickers still attached, so I installed them in my 1980 W116 300SD and had the tint guy tint over them. They work out nicely because I currently have a Blaupunkt CD deck in there.
