audio speakers

Does anyone know where (other than the local MB dealer) I can find an original front (dash) speaker for a 1990 420
SEL. I am aware that these are far from good quality speakers but prefer to stay original (if possible). Tried the PartsShop but they did not carry them.

Appreciate any input.

If I may ask why would you want to stay original? It is a one way speaker with limited frequency respose.I use an eclipse european 4x6 that sounds 5 times better for $100.00 per set with no modifications to the dash!

Scott@lajollaaudio, do you have any recommendations for speakers that would mount without modification in the dash and doors and rear deck of a `98 C-230?
How about the style Alpine (is that the MB supplier?) CD-changer that would fit in the glovebox of a 2002 C-240? any special mounting hardware or adaptors needed?

On the 98 c 280 there is room for a nice set of 6.5" components in the doors and the dash locations. The rear doors are 4" and the rear deck is a 6.5" although with some creativity you could install 2 8" or 10" subs under the stock grills in the rear package shelf without cutting.

The 2002 c-230 the factory alpine fiber-optic cd changer goes into the glove box and there are no aftermarket soultions at this time. Don't waste your time looking for an adapter that will allow an alpine m-bus cd changer to work.
