Running new speaker wire w126

Hello, I'm looking to run completely new speaker wire to my 1989 300 SE. I have purchased a new head unit, and would like to run wire from the head unit to each speaker. Where should I run the new wire from the back of the new head unit to each speaker, and how would I access these areas? I was planning on splitting the front wires to the speaker in both the doors and the dash, is this advisable?

Is your head unit 2 Ohm stable? IIRC, the factory dask speakers and door speakers are both 4 Ohm and they are normally wired in parallel and run back to the factory amplifiers as a 2 Ohm load.

Unless your head unit is 2 Ohm stable then you might be inviting trouble.
