How do I know if I have the Bose stereo?
 

We bought a 1998 E320 wagon a few months ago (used) and the salesman mentioned that it has the Bose stereo. I think the sound system sounds pretty poor, especially if it's a Bose. How can I tell if it is the Bose system? Thanks for any help.

That's a gooder in a wagon. My 98 E300 sedan has the "Bose" emblem on the rear deck speakers. Does you wagon have the emblem on any speaker?

If the wagon came with a sunroof, it's possible that it has Bose via the "E2" package when new. The E2 package was simply sunroof and Bose system combined. Not solid answers but somewhere to start?

If your system sounds like a POS......... then guess what???????? You got the Bose system....same as I do!!!!:( :(

Call 1800-4Mercedes (MB USA) and have them fax you a copy of your original window sticker! All they need is the VIN #... neat idea on behalf of MB to their customers, and it's free!
