W211 ipod to aux cable swap?
 

2008 E350 4matic...

There is an ipod cable in the glovebox, but I would like to have an aux cable. Is it as simple as getting an aux cable and swapping the cable out, or is it more involved than that?

EDIT: Realized there is already an aux cable in the glovebox. It didn't seem to play anything when I tried it...is it because the ipod cable is used in place of it? Anyone know?
I also noticed that the CD and CDC options under audio aren't selectable. Could that mean the CD changer has been bypassed?

Did you get any information about the ipod/aux cable question? When I plug something into the aux cable in my 08, I can't get any real volume. Its sort of useless.
