ADS 124 Benz specific speakers

Does anyone remember ADS speakers designed specifically for Mercedes Benz 124
Was it 324is or 325is?
Any help where i can find this info would be greatly appreciated
thanks

ads 234's are 4" speakers and 325's are 5.25" seperate speakers none of which were made specifically for the 124. With about 16 hours of labor and complete dash removal (before the rainbows were availiable) ads gave me a complete system for my car and I installed the ads 325im speakers in the dashboard. It was way too much work but they sound pretty nice. The newer ads speakers don't have the same sound they used to, so I don't sell them any more. Good luck!

I think it wasn't ADS but MB Quartz that made those speakers.
Thanks for the reply.
I am definitely going with rainbow speaker upgrade for the front
dash location. How about the 6" on the front doors - did you upgrade that as well?
I like the 10" that you placed in the first aid location. Did you fabricate a box underneath or are you using the trunk as the enclosure?. And what speaker did you use?

lastly what do you recomend for the rear deck speakers replacement that would match the rainbows in front.

thanks

is your shop open on the weekends?

The sub I used at the time 4 years ago was a jl10w6 in a 3/4 cuft sealed enclosure that fits up high in the rear shelf. I am not using the door speaker location as it is poor for anything. The rainbows also go easily into the rear but there is a lot more flexibility there for larger speakers ( depending on your power and how much reworking you want to do to the rear deck). Our hours are m>F 8:30 to 5:30 no weekend hours. What year is your ride?

i have a 1995 E300D still stock system with cd changer and phone(not being used).
I'm thinking of upgrading my speakers 4 corners plus adding a sub (with its own amp) in the first aid location.
will my stock system be able to run the 4 rainbows speakers? plus the original midbass in the front doors?

I have a macintosh 4400 if needed(i am hoping to use this in another car together with my other nakamichi stuff)

The factory radio can run the 4 rainbows and the door subs no problem.

Yeah Coach, it was MB quart. A long time ago they had drop in speakers for some benz models. The crem-de-la-crem from them was the molded rear deck they offered for the 190 and maybe the 300e if I remember. It was beautiful.... too bad they don't cater and make custom stuff like that.

I have the A/D/S 4 inch 2 ways in my front doors, they run fine and they look nice in the car. Yet they certainly werent designed fot the car specifically, there was nice size hole cut into each door to house the speaker drivers.
