Options for CD?? 91' 560SEL
New owner of 1991 560SEL. The radio in the car really doesn't bother me and I can take it or leave it. I would however like the new install to look good and fill the space.
I would like CD capability and wondered if anyone can give me suggestions to either get a CD changer and use the old radio or replace all together (with suggestions on good steereos) Please see the pic which shows the radio in it now. Thanks in advance.

This unit is the becker 1432 and has cd changer control. One option is to do the alpine cd changer with interface and cables and connect it to what is there with direct control for your radio. The other option is the becker replacement am fm single cd with cdc control. Any aftermarket options are going to be a bit labor intensive as there is no antenna coax going to the front of the car because the tuner is in the trunk. It will also take some rewiring past the amps etc....Let me know if you need help getting the equiptment as I have most things in stock.

Thanks for the reply!
Can you tell me what Alpine changer to look for? Where would the interface be mounted? It sounds as if this would be my best option.

The iterface goes in the trunk between the cd changer and the tuner box. The alpine cd is the 620 or 630
