1999 E300D W210 adapters available for stereo?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if an adapter that is available that will allow music from cellphones or jumpdrives to be played on the factory installed system on a 1999 E300D?

I can have the radio replaced professionally but prefer to keep the vehicle original.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I use a Blitz Audio Adapter. It plugs into the back of Becker where CD plugs in AND the CD connector plugs into the top of it. It has a USB and Micro plug. It knows when the CD or the USB is being used and doesn't allow the other one to input into the radio. Inexpensive had it for years.

99 is the first year for a fiber optic linked CD player , older ones were hard wired. It is possible to intercept the CD signal on 98 and older but not 99 +.

Discount Car Stereo makes an adapter for the older systems but not for 99. For 99 + they recommend an FM modulator.

I have a 2002 E320. Call these guys
https://www.beckerautosound.com/

Send in your radio and they will add a connection point to plug your phone in. I

I added this for hands free. Works great.

https://www.google.com/search?q=mpow+bluetooth+4.1+receiver+with+built-in+noise+isolator&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#lbl=OVERVIEW&pie=plaji-i

I think all together it was less than $200.

Most stereo shops wanted to start over = $$$

Good luck!

Blitz might be a private label that is only sold to stereo shops.

GROM Audio makes a bunch of adapters , maybe try them.

Continental makes a vintage looking head unit that has all of the modern features and is a inexpensive option.
