What year is your sl? Do you see the speaker wires in the dash? They should be together black and black green + black and black red. If you don't see them then they will be behind the glove box liner where the stock amp was located. The power wire should be black acc power and the ground will be brown. There should be a blue wire in a thin black tubing that has a 1/4 in female spade connector on it and this will be the power antenna trigger wire. You will need to run a constant power wire if there is no red wire behind the radio ( depending on the year of the car) This is easiest to run to the power distribution block under the hood on the passengers side. Use an inline fuseholder at the distribution block and fuse it more that the fuse on the radio, there is an easy path through the firewall in the stock grommet and this will allow the wire to come through behind the glove box.

Good luck! let me know if I can help more.

Thanks for your response. (1973) 450sl There is no radio in car.
I do see the amp behind the glovebox, speaker wires and a black
and brown wire. I removed the stock dash speakers and installed
4" Infinity's . I am preparing to install Infinity 6x9's in the rear package self. Then I will tackle the actual connecting of the Sony receiver. I will let you of my progess. Thanks again.
