Head unit suggestions for W126

Hi,
I'm looking to replace the head unit in my 1984 300SD and
am looking for suggestions from forum members.
Right now I have Pioneer unit that plays CDs and it has died.
Too many choices out there!

This one was suggested by a W126 owner
Kienzle-MCR1118DAB

Jeff

I personally have a Kenwood head unit in my W126 300SD, but I'm seeing more people put this Continental headunit in their 80s vintage MBs. https://www.amazon.com/VDO-Continental-TR7412UB-European-Bluetooth/dp/B08D2R48HZ

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'll report back after I make my decision and install.

The Continental TR7412 is exactly what I put in my 1991 250TD.
I paired it with a pair of ESX QE120 speakers and a small powered Blaupunkt subwoofer. Sounds great for only being those 3 speakers.

Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB?

I went with an Alpine CDE-163EBT on my latest W124. It reminds me of the high end head units of the early 90s and the illumination and font fit in with the car nicely. Sounds great too!

Alpine CDE-172BT

Finally got around to putting in a new head unit.
I went with the Alpine CDE-172BT after seeing a good review of it.
I'm very happy with the unit. Sounds great and gets excellent radio reception.
Has front USB out and Bluetooth. I'm using an old school Memphis amp in the trunk.

The Kienzele and the Blaupunkt are both DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast)
which works in Europe, Australia and parts of Asia, but not in North or South America
