The front dash is a 4 inch standard size and the rear will take a 6 inch but it requires a little bit of cutting of the cardboard shelf.

Thanks,

Put in 4" in the front and 5 1/4" in the back. They fit right in. Sound much better that the original.

One last question. What's the small wire that plugs into the rear of the radio for?

The others are speakers antenna and power.

Has a black cover on it. Plugs in on the same size as the power wire enters the back cover. There are three places that are similar although only one had the wire in it.

Just a thought...the power from dash lights?

Chris:
For better sound out of your rear speakers you could also do what I did in my 300-D to get better bass. Go to Circuit City and purchase a pair of plastic "lips" (for lack of a better word) from the installation department that fit under the speakers and basically raise them about an inch from the level of the rear deck. With the extra space, more air is under the speaker allowing for better bass response.

If you want to get radical, on my 240-D (RIP), I drilled several holes in the metal under the speakers which effectively added the air of the trunk for better bass response. It sounded better to me, but may just have been psychological.
