'98 SLK 230 Phone-rewire?
 

I just bought a 1998 SLK 230 with one of those out dated analog phones. I can't find anyone to get service from and was going to have the dealer just remove it, but I was wondering if there was some way to rewire it to use with my current cell phone. We have a "hands free" cell phone law here in NY and I'd like to take advantage of the wiring already set up with the radio speakers and the built in microphone...... I've seen those hands free phone adaptors that plug into the cigarette lighter. You tune into a certain radio station and the phone works through the radio. Is there a way to use the wires connected to the old phone and add some kind of adaptor that would plug into a cell phone???

In case your still searching for options, I left the Analog phone in my car and it works better than a lot of digital. It has a lot more power than most phones, I think about 7 times more so I do not run into any problems. Other than that, was told that MB no longer supports nor know how to use. It was a motorola phone and is programable
