Where is the ESN for the phone??
 

I think I found service for the built in analog phone in my '98 SLK230....they need the ESN. The only numbers I found were on the cradle - the type(8 digits) and the Serial # (11 digits). Where is the ESN found???

There should have been a form in the glove compartment with the ESN on it. I think any MB dealer can look it up based on vehicle serial number. I also think there may be a way to get it from the phone but your cellular service guy should know that .

It's on the transmit-receive unit. It's generally in the trunk, behind the plastic panels on the side - though I'm not certain about the SLK. I *think* it's 15 digits, but can't look it up right now. If you find the TRU, just copy down all the information on it - the installer will know which string of digits is the ESN.
