Antenna Cleaning
What's the best method for keeping the antenna properly lubricated? I have seen in catalogs small like "wet naps" to clean the antenna?
Thanks! |

Antenna Cleaning
I have alot of people come to our shop with antenna problems. Most of them are preventable with simple maintenance. A suggestion I give people that seems to work is to use very lightweight steelwool to clean off the bugs and whatever on the mast of the antenna. Then use a silicone lubricant to put a very thin coating of oil on the mast. Do this once a month or more often if you would like and I believe that you will have an antenna that will last far longer than those who just wait to see how black their antenna mast can get from the grime.
