86 w124 audio power troubleshooting

The original becker stereo power input ( 4 pin plug) is only partly functional. The only correctly functioning wire is the constant +12v dc lead ( pin 4 red wire). The Ground, and remaining leads are nonfunctional. Please assist in trouble shooting these non-functional leads. Any information and diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

well the ground should be tied to the chassis ground.

The Ignition wire should be fused most likely, and is either a blown fuse int he fuse box, or it is disconnected somewhere.

The other wire, would probably be the power antenna trigger wire.

The wiring code is:

Ground - Brown
Ignition (12v switched) - Black with yellow
Illumination - Grey with violet
Battery (12v constant) - Red

Check all fuses. The illumination wire is probably fused with the rest of the dash lights.

Thumbs up Problem Solved

Thank you for the advice. Turns out the audio 12v ingnition wire(black and yellow) was the culprit. This originates of the cigarette lighter 12v ignition lead. At the crimp, the audio 12v lead broke thus the voltage was not passed on. Again the replies are greatly appreciated.
