One of my dash speakers starts buzzing with lower bass sound at higher volume. The other speakers behave okay. I removed the speaker from the dash and verified the problem was confined to the speaker, and not from a related part. The speaker looks healthy....no visible breaks or delamination.

Is there a fix to the problem? Where is the best place to get a replacement speaker if that's what is needed?

might be that the speaker is blown, although you dont see any signs of tear. Try switching with the other dash speaker and see if the trouble transfers over to the other side. If it remains on the same side, my just be vibration from the dash or something in there.

I guess the speaker is blown. I took it out, held it in my hand, and the buzzing was still there. Is this a dealer-only item?

You can replace your dash speakers with aftermarket ones. They may need to rewire them differently. Just don't buy the ones from the dealer, they'll cost probably more, and won't sound as good as others. But I'll let someone else answer that question because I myself am not sure about it.
