I bought the 94' SL500 2 days ago, yesterday I got the code for the radio from MB. The system worked fine for 1 day . I drove the car about 4 times, and the last time I turned on the ignition the amp or antenna didnt come on. I jumped the remote wire at the antenna and they both come on(same circuit). Is some type of relay or fuse in the remote circuit before it splits off to the antenna and amp ? If so where ?also I would like to purchase
An actual shop manual for this car , as I see it is going to be prone to electrical failures .

I ordered the radio removal keys ($2.30 from mercedes).
Removed the radio to find , no voltage at the blue remote wire for antenna and amp. I ran voltage to the terminal just to check and the ant/amp came on. I looked at the wires going into the connector and found another blue remote wire. Lucky me , just soldered the inactive one to the active one and viola' a funtioning system once again.
