MB Quart DKD line is a pretty solid speaker and a great deal for the money. You can buy them for $80 online at onlinecarstereo.com and install them yourself if you already have holes. Are you looking to put them in the rear deck or somehwere else? What model? I have 3.5" Diamond Audio M3 Coaxials in the front and 5x7 MB Quart DKD coaxials in the rear deck. I don't know if you really need to spend the money to go get triaxials especially if they are going in the rear deck. Most of the companies that offer triaxials are very unreliable and cheap, and they overprice everything. If you are looking to upgrade, upgrade the front to Diamond Audio components (HEX model) running off an amp( components will sound worse if they are unamped. And just put coaxial 6x9s in the rear. Diamond also makes the M3 coaxial in a 6x9 and although I have not heard them, I trust the name. The 3.5" Diamonds I have are unbelievable for a 3.5" speaker. Stick with Diamond Audio and MB Quart. Also 45 watts is the peak power from your head unit, they usually run around 23 watts per speaker, so you don't really have anything to worry about. Any Diamond Audio or MB Quart speaker can handle a lot more than 45 watts, more like 100-150. Distortion is caused by a lack of power to the speaker, not the speaker itself. If you want to play your music louder and you get a lot of distortion, it's because your head unit doesn't have the power, an amp would solve that problem. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I am not looking to up grade. The top stays down all but 20-30 days of the year and the speakers in the package tray get thrashed. I would put an amp in it but I don't want any one under the dash to wire anything up. That 30 year old stuff is brittle. The speakers in the front are Phillips tweeter/mid. The rear speakers are pioneer but one blew up last week. I will try the coaxial's next week.
