Howdy,
Found this group recently and wish I'd found it five years ago.

Somebody who will remain nameless took our '76 115 body 240d through the car wash a while back without lowering the rear antenna. Hence it is now of the removable variety.
Does anybody know where I could get one of these? It's not electric and is mounted on the left rear fender, looks factory to me.

Hay I have done that... My 76 115 shared a lot of parts with the 123 being the last year before the 123 came out.. Seats and other stuff... One thing on mine was the Manual antenna.. Got mine from what is now Performance products.. (Forgot what the name was then but they were in Texas)... They still have the part listed.. The part number is 82-385.. However you may well find it in other places too.. Mine was just the standard manual 123 antenna.. Mercedes is big about installing parts when they come up with a better one and not waiting until a model change..

However, I just installed a $39.99 electric on my 83 300SD and it looks and works fine, got the thing at Discount Auto Parts, they also have the others too.

Thanks, Especially for the part #'s, it looked like the one on my 300sd but that one is electric and in checking around it seemed that a manual ant on the 123's was kind of elusive. I'll check with those folks and see what they have.
