Well i pulled a major DA attack, and put the high level output into the low level input of my amp. It proceeded to make all sorts of weird unwanted noises and then start to smoke. Then realizing that something wasn't quite right i immediately unplugged the amp. Now that it's all hooked up correctly, i only have power out of the right side of the amplifier. I know i fried something, and my question is does this sound like something a fairly competent DIY'er with a soldering gun could fix, or is the amp "toast". Also, what did i most likely blow? thanks,

Well, smoke is never good but it really depends on whether the main PCB is damaged or was it just a part or two that did all the smoking. I'm sure that our company can help you with this delema. Do you know what model the amplifier is?

the amp is nothing really to speak of, and it's definately not worth shipping off to be fixed. If i could fix it myself for a few bucks i'd consider it worth it, as i only paid 20 bucks for it used. It's a majestic 150x2 amplifier if your curious though.
