Question Car Audio Security Code Entry 1998 E300TD

Can anyone give me the procedure for entering the security code on this vehicle.

I have had the battery disconnected whilst I replaced the cruise control causing the stereo to require code re-entry.

A previous owner has copied the security code but not the flip side of the code card where the entry instructions apparently are.

Any help appreciated.

Chief

If it's the kind with the telephone keypad on the right side:
Enter the 5 digits using the keypad numbers, then press the button with the white dot, the one that says "OK" above it in the radio display (either far left or far right button).
If it doesn't have the key pad, unter the code using the radio presets, then press the round button that says "SC" on it.

On either of these, you need to have the radio turned on so it says "CODE" in the radio display first.

Radio Security Code

My 1999 E320 radio is showing CODE. I do not see "OK" nor "SC" buttons, it just shows CODE with a blinking "C". My radio model is #2088200186. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dan:
I responded to your PM concerning this.
The wording (lettering?) "OK" will appear in the radio display, it's not like something you normally see, just when entering your code. The buttons with the white dots are the 4 buttons under the radio display. Either the first or last button is the one that is pushed to enter the code on the newer radio, it will make sense when you see it, the "OK" will be above the appropriate button, just like when you select AM or FM, etc. The functions of these buttons vary according to the mode the radio is in. (Mode, mode, hopefully not "mood" the radio is in )
