Portable CD player questions - C320

My wife has a portable CD player with the cassette adapter she uses in her Exploder. I tried it in my car... It had no (real low) volume and of course the system would "beep" periodically because the cassette door was opened. Any ideas why this wouldn't /shouldn't work? Any way to get around the "beep" if it did?

Thanks,
Brian

Ford Exploder? The Pinto version of the Explorer! . . . I couldn't resist!

With the cassette adapter, the player should be seeing the audio signal through the playback head like a tape, so that's a bit odd. Rather than beat this thing to death, have you considered using an FM transmitter. I'm using one that came with my Apple IPod's car kit and it's great.

Through my repair department we do a custom modification that can be used for mp3 or a portable cd or sat radio and allows for an aux input to all mercedes radios for people all over the country . Check in with Cleeve a www.lajollaaudiorepair.com
