Radio Repairs
SCLJA (La Jolla Audio),
California is a little bit too far for me... my radio has "CODE" with a blinking "C" and the dealer said it needs repair. Any suggestions on repair shops in New Jersey would be greatly appreciated. Dan Smires |

If your radio is a becker then becker of north america is in NJ. You can tell by your code card if the serial # starts with a BE an A is for alpine. What car is it and is it becker or alpine?

Radio Repairs
Scott,
I just purchased this used E320 and the dealer believes the radios have been swapped and when he ran the radio ID number in the system, it gave a different CODE number than what was included on the Radio Code Card in the owners manual. Needless to say, neither security code seems to work. As a result, I am not sure what the correct Radio ID number is. How do I remove the radio to get this information so that I have it when I contact Becker-NJ ? Dan Smires |

You need to the keys to release the radio from the dash. I use a finger nail file or my swiss army knife through the slots on the bottom corners of the radio pushing outward should release the springs and allow the unit to slide out. You can also put your finger through the tape door and pull out while releasing the springs.
Good luck! Scott
