Hi all,

I'm installing a new system in my wife's 95 E320 Cabriolet. I removed the rear seat bottoms without a problem but can't figure out how to remove the seatbacks (to get to the trunk firewall grommet etc). Any tips?

Also under the rear seats were several boxes -- one I assume is an airbag sensor (Bosch, do NOT touch), and on the left side is a black box with tons of wires going into it -- is this a Mercedes amp? It's quite non-descript so I'm not sure what to make of it.

To get the seat back out, fold down the rear armrest and behind the vinyl liner towards the top there are two 8mm head screws. Remove these and the seat with some force will lift straight up. The amplifier will be found in the trunk under the steel plate in the left wheel well. The amp only runs the door subs.Here is a pic of the amplifier.
